Wyong Shire was a local government area located in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia, north of Sydney. Wyong Shire was located around the coast of the lake system of Tuggerah Lake, Budgewoi Lake and Lake Munmorah. The area includes a coastal strip from Bateau Bay to Budgewoi some lakeside towns and residential areas, some inland towns on the coastal plains and a sparsely populated region in the west with the rural municipalities Yarramalong, Dooralong, Jilliby and regions native bush surrounding Kulnura. Wyong Shire waslocated administrative center of the city and Wyong Council maintained service and information center at the entrance, and Tuggerah Lake Haven Shopping Center. Wyong Shire and the city of Gosford controlled Gosford / Wyong afford Water Authority, which operates Mangrove Creek Dam. In May 2016 Wyong Shire was merged with the city of Gosford to create the Central Coast Council. The last mayor of Wyong Shire was Cr. Doug Eaton, an independent politician. ....
