Wee Waa () is a town located on the northwestern slopes of the New England region of New South Wales, Australia. The city is in Narrabri Shire local government area and is on the Namoi River. Wee Waa is 41 kilometers (25 miles) west of Narrabri and 571 kilometers (355 mi) northwest of Sydney at Kamilaroi Highway. In the census of 2011, Wee Waa had a population of 2,080.Wee Waa is 42 kilometers from the Newell Highway, and is called the gateway to the Far West centers Walgett, Collarenebri, Lightning Ridge opal fields and beyond.The Aboriginal significance of Wee Waa is "Fire for Roasting "from the language of the Kamilaroi people.
