Surin Islands (Thai: หมู่ เกาะ สุรินทร์, Thai pronunciation: [MU kɔʔ Surin]) is an archipelago of five islands in Andaman Sea, 60 km from Thai mainland. Administrative islands is part of Tambon Ko Phra Thong, Khura Buri District in Phang Nga province, Thailand.Mu Ko Surin National Park (อุทยานแห่งชาติ หมู่ เกาะ สุรินทร์) comprises islands and their surrounding water. The park covers an area of approximately 141.25 km2. It contains the Surin Islands and the surrounding waters. Of the protected area, is 108 km 2, or 80 percent sea. The park was gazetted as the 29th national park in Thailand July 9, 1981. The park is closed during the rainy season, May 1-31 October each year. .... Learn more at Wikipedia
