The Springbrook National Park is a protected national park located in the Gold Coast hinterland in Queensland, Australia. The 6197-hectare (15,310-acre) park is on the McPherson Range, near Springbrook, about 100 kilometers (62 mi) south of Brisbane. The park is part of the shield volcano group for the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests of Australia. In December 1994, the UNESCO World Heritage Committee officially extended area now called the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area of Scenic Rim (including the Main Range, Mount Barney, Lamington and Spring National Parks and Goomburra Forest Reserve) and rainforests northern New South Wales. In 2007, areas of Gondwana Rainforests of Australia added to the Australian National Heritage List. The park is part of the Scenic Rim Important Bird Area, identified as such by BirdLife International because of its importance for the conservation of several species of endangered birds.In 2009 as part of the Q150 celebrations got Spring National Park announced as one of the Q150 Icons of Queensland for his role as a "natural attraction". ....
