It is home to the Alan Slaight Radio Institute and the Catalst @ FCAD. The RCC building formerly housed the Computer Science faculty offices, labs, and a small lounge on the third floor. With the Centre for Computing and Engineering complete, Computer Science moved to its second floor. The RCC is also home to a Video Post Production facility, from which several TV stations (accessible in the residence buildings) are broadcast. It is also home to the Infoscape Research Lab, directed by Greg Elmer. The building is not directly sponsored by Rogers Communications, although its naming is the result of a personal C$12.5 million contribution to Ryerson by that company's longtime owner Ted Rogers and his wife Loretta in honour of Ted's father, communications pioneer Edward S.
