Port Augusta is a small city in South Australia. Previously, a port city, it's now a road and railway junction town primarily located on the east coast of Spencer Gulf immediately south of the gulf head and around 322 kilometers (200 miles) north of the state capital, Adelaide. The suburb of Port Augusta West is located on the western side of the bay on the Eyre Peninsula. Other major industries are included, up to the mid-2010s, the production of electricity.
