Monte Grande is a city that is part of the urban agglomeration Greater Buenos Aires. It is the administrative seat of Esteban Echeverría Partido in Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. It was on April 3, 1889 by a company called Sociedad Con, Sansisena y Cia., And currently has an area of 22.57 square kilometers and a population of 109.644 inhabitants (2001 census [National Institute of Statistics and Census of Argentina]). Named after the Pago de Monte Grande was founded by a Spanish Empire Conquistador city grew initially around talking and Ombu forests, vineyards and peach trees which later added. Sociedad Con, Sansinena y cia, prominent Avellaneda area Saladero operators bought the land from the Fair family in 1889.
