Lake Magenta is an ephemeral salt lake in the wheatbelt area of ​​Western Australia. The lake is 55 kilometers (34 mi) northeast of Jerramungup and 62 km (39 miles) east of Pingrup. The lake is part of the 1080 km2 (420 sq mi) Lake Magenta Nature Reserve which is the bush west of the lake. The area is in relatively pristine condition and contains a rich array of flora and fauna. There are three other lakes close to east: Lake Morris Lake Royston and Lake Cobham. The lake is a wide flat-floored valley with long paleo-drainages in north and steeply incised drainage lines in the south.
