La Cumbrecita is a small picturesque, secluded Alpine-like village, set amongst pine and spruce, at 1,450 meters (4.757 feet) above sea level, where it is not uncommon to see a blanket of snow in winter. It is located in the Calamuchita Valley in Grand Sierras in Córdoba, Argentina. A 30 km (19 mi) paved road, up through the scenic views of the Sierra Grande takes you to La Cumbrecita. The Medio river bordering La Cumbrecita and is on the outskirts of Santa Maria County. The National Institute of Statistics and Census of Argentina to the 2001 census counted 189 residents in La Cumbrecita and 156 Calamuchita, a total of 345 inhabitants. 140 houses are nestled among the trees (97 and 43 in each county). ....
