Corryong is a small town in Victoria, Australia 120 km (75 miles) east of Albury-Wodonga, near the top of the Murray River, near the border with New South Wales. At the 2016 census, Corryong had a population of 1,348.The post office was opened February 1 1874. The city also has its own airport. It is accessible by road along the Murray Valley Highway, and really is the eastern terminus of this route. Further east trip puts a driver on the Alpine Way, this takes travelers up to the Snowy Mountains region of Thredbo and Jindabyne.
