mountain range
The Brandenberg Alps (German: Brandenburger Alpen) is a subgroup of the Northern limestone alps running in front of the eastern Alps for its entire length. They are fully in Austria between Achensee in Tyrol, Inn Valley and the Bavarian Prealps. They are generally known in German as Rofangebirge, although the actual Rofan (also Sonnwendgebirge) is only the western part of the area between the fire Ache stream and Achensee lake. It consists of a central mountain group and three individual mountains. The Guffert (2195 m (7201 ft)) which is located outside the central group, form a distinctive mountain block. It is located north of Kramsach between Tegernsee Blauberge and the central Rofan. The Unnütze, at the north end of the east of the Achensee Achenkirch, and Ebener Joch (1957 m (6421 ft)) to the east of Maurach at the southern end of the Achensee, is also outside the central mountain range. ....
