Aireys Inlet is a small coastal inlet and town located on the Great Ocean Road, southwest of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Aireys Inlet between Anglesea and Lorne, and went to Fairhaven in the west. Many surfers holiday in Aireys Inlet to take advantage of the popular Fairhaven beach. As slope beach can change dramatically from year to year, the waves are considered unpredictable. Swimmers should note there is a strong rip current. Painkalac Creek, which separates Aireys Inlet from Fairhaven, forming a salt lake or inlet behind the dunes before cutting across to the sea. Because of low water levels in the inlet, it is not often that breaks through the inlet. There is also a horseshoe-shaped reef at Steps Beach, forming a great swimming hole at low tide.
