Gulf on the northeast coast of Western Australia
Cambridge Gulf is a gulf on the northern coast of Western Australia. Many rivers flowing into the Gulf, including the Ord River, Pentecost River, Durack River, King River and Forrest River, making the environment a estuaries one. The gap experiences two tidal flows daily between 7 and 9 meters (23 and 30 ft) .The city Wyndham, the area's main port is located on the eastern shore at the lower part of the bay and about 100 km (62 mi) heading west -nordväst Kununurra. Cambridge Gulf is a gulf in the gap, which at the south end of the Joseph Bonaparte Gulf in the Timor Sea. The entrance to the gulf is defined by the Cape DOMETT on the eastern shore, Lacrosse Island in the middle and Cape Dussejour on the western shore.
